Kind of a weird question here. I'm primarily an accordion player. Live I tend to go DI to PA but I've used a variety of guitar amps in the past and none had the full range of frequency I need. Bass was always a secondary instrument but I've been recently playing a lot more of it in a weird doom kind of band.
What I'm currently in the market for is a good, clean amp for accordion that handles highs well (I get my distortion from pedals for that) and something that would be an upgrade from using the behringer in our practice space. Looking for portability as well, so a lot of class d stuff is tempting. Ones I've considered so far are orange 4 stroke, ebs reidmar, and peavey minimega. Id like to hear some other recommendations though

Something like a Mesa 800d+ for bass.

A full range pre-amp for accordion that you can plug into the Mesa and bypass its pre-amp.

For a cab, a full range like Barefaced or Audiokinesis, (that can be used for PA) to handle both instruments.

Gallien-Krueger MB500. It can drive an Ampeg fridge 810 and compete with two stacks of guitars that are loud as god. Under 4 lbs. You could possibly get three used for $1000. Great bang for your buck. Clean and bright highs are what it's known for. It's more versatile than it gets credit for. I'm sure if you need some cutting grindy mids for the weird doom stuff as well, it's in there.

Agreed! Used versions can be had all day for little money, you'd have $$ leftover for a good cab.

I'd vote darkglass microtubes 900, it really excels in heavier mixes but it can really do anything well, with 2 drive circuits to choose from and the ability to blend that with your clean tone really makes the sky the limit. The quilter bass block 800 is awesome for big clean power and has a unique tone shaping design, actually just got rid of mine this morning for a gk fusion 550 which is super cool but a lot bigger than a micro head, only let the quilter go for it because the GK has 2 fully functioned channels that can get gritty and some super cool motorized control knobs that turn to what channel you select

I just want to point out that this might be the first time in human history that the words "accordian" and "doom band" have ever appeared in such close proximity to one another....

That's the sort of stuff I do. All the distortion on there is a fuzz hugger sonic shroom into a DI. For live purposes I'm looking for something that can maintain my cleans and well replicate the natural tone of accordion, but also take my pedals well and get gnarly. Currently running sonic shroom into HOG2 into bit quest (mostly for ring mod and sometimes pitch shift or delay or bit crushing) into avalanche run

Been getting a lot of good suggestions and choosing is going to be tough
