Color scheme options would be great. All the blank space with the white background is painful, and I keep the brightness and contrast on my monitor low to begin with.
I'm going to fix the app, but I'm also going to really push for people to use mobile browsers. Tapatalk (and therefore the "TB App" doesn't have all the custom functionality that we've worked hard to put in here (like custom classifieds fields, media and events sections). Give it a try folks! The whole site design changes when you're on a mobile browser
Well I don't have a smartphone and I won't buy one because TB changed its layout
Would be interesting to have a poll on the homepage in a month or so, once things have settled down a bit and people (me included..) got used to the change, to see if we still do miss the old layout.

This will take some getting used to, but no problems for me so far. I really dig the arrows in the lower right that take me to the top of the page. Thanks for all the hard work, boys.

Obviously a huge amount of hard work gone into the new software, design and migrating over all the data.
Especially in light of recent hacking stories etc. I absolutely appreciate the need to do this and all the effort that has gone in to keeping our Forum safe and active, well done.
Will take a bit of getting used to where everything is and I have to admit to going with the retro style to ease myself in for now and being a bit lost in finding some things, but it's like when you move to any new home -you do it for a good reason, you miss the old place somewhat but you look forward to improving your experience.

If the new appearance is too harsh, in the preference settings you can set browsing preference to "TalkBass Retro" and it isn't as bright.

I just tried the retro mode, and its ok, but if I'm gonna change, let there be full and complete change!
I am hoping I get used to the new layout. Keeping an open mind on most of the changes. This is my favourite site on the net.
The one that does concern me - Just wondering why I can't post questions in the classifieds section? It was one of the best classified sections for gear as you can read questions and comments by other members about things you might have missed about the instrument. I hope the classifieds are not going to be read only and pm for questions. That would kill this site for me.

+1! Not digging the new layout, even in Retro mode. I feel like it's Harmony Central all over again.
The best part is... Paul is now doing some goofy redirect (or something) that is getting flagged by my work's UTM, so now I have to use my phone to get here. Oh well. Now I can spend less time here.
