I always liked the Dean Pace Contra bass, but never got around to buying one.![]()
They also made some pretty cool electric upright basses if anybody remembers the Pace.
Thomann makes something similar.

While neon gas produces a red color, there are now over 150 colors that can be used. Any color that’s not red can be made using elements like mercury, argon, and phosphor. So, while not all neon lights include the neon element, “neon tubes” simply mean any positive-column discharge lamps, no matter what the tubes are filled with.Neon is red, not green.
They have a lot of stuff actually. Unfortunately, every model I have touched has been bulky and kinda awkward. Not to mention, not visually appealing.Other than the neon green firewood basses Dean has collecting dust in every Guitar Center, do they have anything else for bass players?
I always loved that color as well as @Avezzano gloss natural Stylus. I love my Black Sparkle, but yours and the Gloss Natural are really sweet. I always thought the Psychobilly Cabbie was cool too.Love my modded Stylist.

Me too!!!!That's a shame. I have a John Entwistle Hybrid Bass that I'll never part with. View attachment 5194955
Yeah, those Edge pros are nice! I have two of them. The Edge Selects made in Czech Republic are also nice.Aw dang! My #1 is a Dean, feels and sounds fantastic. I've long had plans to have them build my signature bass when I get super famous. So much for that.
Their Gibson-esque stuff is one of the reasons why Dean is in its current circumstances. When Gibson started going after anyone making Gibson-esque things, Dean continued making them long after everybody else knew enough to stop. While not the most craziest bass, I love their Flying V basses and other unusual shapes you can get affordable prices and they were great modding platforms.
Gibson as always marketing towards their older user base with loads of money and wonder why younger players aren't incline to jump on Gibson... oh well hoping the best. Dean was a great option for Gibsion-esque stuff and some cool shares on this post.
