There's always a good chance of that for "celebrity" items on auction sites - witness the number of "Jaco" basses that get sold under completely false pretenses. But given that G&L is complaining, I'd say someone (that shouldn't) has the real deal. I hope they get the stuff back and nail the perps.any chance the stuffs for sale are fakes?
Where there is money to be made I think ebay probably turns a blind eye..........................I see these items every day on eBay. Are they still allowing the sales to go through if it is stolen?
The crazy thing is, someone risked taking this stuff, and it's nothing that is going to generate a whole lot of money. Maybe a few hundred buck?Where there is money to be made I think ebay probably turns a blind eye..........................

Leo Fender Guitar Innovator Inventor 3 Signed Cancelled 1968 Checks Stub | eBay
probably knows they are stolen and used the auctions basically as free advertising then pulled them down to sell them off of eBay where there is no record of sale.It appears this seller ended all his "Leo" auctions at the same time on the same day. So it doesn't look like anyone made any money on those items...
You can't teach an old dog to throw stones in glass houses. What's the best stolen document for metal?
What a piece of crap. Screw the authorities, they should tell 4Chan. I bet they'd have his home address in an hour.
