Looks like the iOS app is broken

after upgrading my ipad 2 to iOS7 and downloading the tb app, the app launches to a blank black screen with a little tb logo in the upper left corner. Can't click on anything. Tried rebooting the device, redownloading the app, nothing fixes it.

uninstall/reinstall is working for other people, can you please try again? Maybe uninstall / reboot / reinstall?

Yeah, I had the same problem this morning, after updating the app last night. I had to delete the app, then reboot, and then reinstall.

Also not working for me, I've done just about everything I can think of including rebooting the phone between each step I do. Now this is strange, if I completely remove the app, it is one version down that is in the Apple store. After installing it and some reboots, the app opens up, but than crashes after a bit. If I go back into the store and install the update which says is for iOS7 support, than all I get is that black screen some other people are getting. And the app is totally useless. And I've cleaned up my iPhone too, removing old apps and photos to free up storage.

What is the most odd, the TalkBass app uses the Tapatalk engine, yet the app does not work. YET.....I have Tapatalk installed too and have not had one issue with it! Tapatalk is working fine.

So why does the Tapatalk app work and the TalkBass app does not?

I'll try the delete/reboot/reinstall approach tonight, as I have the same "black screen" problem since upgrading yesterday. iPad2 still on IOS 6, BTW.

Yes, this worked, but only because the reinstall gives the older version of the app again. Once a new update is downloaded it goes back to not working, yet again.

Well got it working! Don't ask me how! Did another delete, reload, reboots... and now it works! Maybe there was a bug in the version I downloaded previously??? Well all seems good now.

My only guess is that maybe the new TB updated app is not compatible with iOS 6, so those downloading TB for the first time with those devices will have a functional app. I can't think of any other possibility besides oversight at Apple.

Ok, finally got this app working, but it's a bit more unstable now. The older version worked great, but this version sometimes doesn't load threads. It just hangs on the loading progress indicator. Until these problems are addressed, I guess I'll have to use the browser.

The new app is slow as hell. Sometimes it just hangs at loading and goes nowhere.

Wow, really funny. I tried using the app again and a message pops up and says talkbass has an app for ipad. Then i click on 'ok', and it takes me to the app store where i just hit 'open' only to get back to the app that can't load the forum. Looks like someone didn't do much testing. lol
