you could connect the Invalid Link Removed to the Boss RC-2. I amn't sure if it works.

Because the RC-2 is not a MIDI-controllable device. The most you could do with MIDI and the RC-2 is put it in a MIDI loop that you can open and close with a MIDI controller. This will do no good with an RC-2 because it could cut out or re-introduce a loop you already have playing. You can't transfer the functions you get by using the RC-2's footswitch to MIDI, unless someone modded it to do so (which would likely be quite costly).

the Midi Solutions Relay contains a relay that can be programmed to open or close in response to MIDI events.
In other words, you send a Midi command to close or open the switch of RC-2. But the RC-2 must be slightly modified (easy to do) so the switch can be controlled externaly.

The switch of the RC-2 isn't going to be a simple on/off latching/momentary toggle though- it's multifunctional. I doubt you could get it to function in as simple a manner as would be necessary for the Relay to be able to control.

Forgive me making a suggestion so late in the discussion, but there are better places to look for information on loopers.

I suggest you head over to Looper's Delight, found at:

LOOPER'S DELIGHT!

The advantage is that they have reviews of every possible audio looping device, along with a huge knowledge base. You can search the mailing list archive and find anything relevant to "midi control OR controllable."

Invest some time, and you'll be rewarded. You'll definitely be better off if you invest the time to do the research, instead of relying on whoever is on the list at the moment, but it's your call how important your question is to you.
