Looper blender

I'm looking into effects looper pedals. I've used one in the past whenever I wanted to add some effects that I rarely used, in order to cut them off from the chain when not in use.

I still have that pedal. It's a Loooper, from this site (which seems to be closed for business now unfortunately):

As soon as I'd ordered it many years ago, I bit my fingers for not ordering a blend pot added.

Nowadays, I'd like exactly that to use with my Empress Multidrive, which doesn't have a blend option. I rarely use distortion, but when I do I'd like the option to keep more of my bass' tone in the mix. Another use for the Multidrive is to give bite to my next pedal in the chain, which is an Empress Nebulus. And again here, I'd like to keep more of my tone in.

I've been looking at other looper blender pedals, but most are both too bulky and too expensive for my tastes.

This is the closest I've found so far, that's small, simple and does exactly what I need:

Plus it'd be around CAD100$, rather than CAD200$ like most of the other blend pedals I've found so far. (A bit too much for a pedal that would basically only serve to blend in 1 pedal...)

I was wondering if you know other options. Either another looper blender pedal that I may not know. Or I was wondering if it's possible to have a blend pot added to my Loooper pedal...

If you can get the wiring diagram and find someone willing to look at it, with no guarantee of solving the problem mind you, it will cost you time and money. If you found a good match why not sell the "perfectly fine but not for your current needs" looper? I have only positive things to say about Saturnworks, so I put my vote there.

Personally, with dirt, I far prefer a bass boost / cut control that I do a blender / mixer. If I go for a blender / mixer then I just want the low frequencies blended in, not the full range. Otherwise with heavy fuzz, it sounds like I'm double tracking a bass and a fuzz sound. For me it's the same with modulation and reverb. A low retain blend or a bass boost.

Saturnworks does a good job and are fair priced, I have used them several times for client builds and have one or two myself in use in the studio. IMHO it's hard to beat the Boss LS2 for utility once you figure out all the different things you can do with it.

Both are very interesting, and I like the simplicity of the Saturnworks unit a lot. I just find it hard to justify investing in a brand new pedal to blend in a single effect which I don't use all that much. I guess I'll keep an eye opened for a 2nd-hand unit. One was sold not so long ago here for 35$.
