I am retired now, but I worked for fifty years in the electronics industry, (medical diagnostic imaging systems, robotics, telecommunication equipment and such) and when issues on something we used made by an outside manufacturer such as is being discussed here regarding Neutrik connectors would come up, I would be communicating directly with their engineering and quality people to make sure I understand as much as possible about anything that could cause problems for whatever I was involved in.

I was looking on Ebay for speakon cables with Neutrik connectors and found these:

They arrived today and they do have the blue Neitrik connectors in the photo. I hooked them up to my D-800+ and SW115 and they work perfectly.

Shipping was fast too.

I saw those and read some of the reviews that said they were sent cables with counterfeit connectors. I emailed the seller asking if they were real neutrix but haven't heard back from him.

That is odd. Seller has over 3000 feedbacks and 99.3% positive. All the remarks I see are positive and no mention of counterfeit connectors.

Those look to be genuine, but counterfeits can be very deceiving to the point that only the original manufacturer can tell for sure after analysis.

This cable works just fine with my SW115 an SW112, even when I wiggle the connector it doesn't cause any trouble.

The black ring on the connector (in the brown part) has the Neutrik logo imprinted twice just like the connector shown on the sweetwater website:

The connector shown on the website of Neutrik is different then the one on the cable I recently bought.

The connectors on my cable have "R249" printed on them.
The connector on the Neutrik website says: ""O040".

Those look exactly like the connectors I have on my recently purchased HOSA cables that HOSA claims to be genuine.

As far as I know, there has been no question about the brown connectors being genuine NeutriK.

Just make sure Liechtenstein is spelled correctly.

It is Neutrik and Liechtenstein.

Not Neutrix and Liechtenstien.

Mine have R286 on them so if my math is correct, that's 5 better.

Some test results are in!!!!

The combo connectors I ordered are the new version, these are black NLJ2MDXX, the originals are green, I have a couple green ones ordered just not delivered yet.
I tested with both the new brown NL2FXX-WS connectors and the immediate past version Blue Gray NL2FXX.
Using the same combo connector with "brown" NL2FXX-WS Speakon there was one small spot I could get it to break connection, using the Blue Gray NL2FXX
it was solid anyway I tried to twist or flex it, the issue was only on the + connection, in case you are wondering the + connections are in the center, - is on the outer side.
You can see and hear the test results in the crappy videos linked below.

The connections were solid when using the standard MP chassis connectors.

The "brown" NL2FXX-WS connectors have a slightly larger diameter round contact bar for the + connection than the blue gray NL2FXX, also noticed that the brown connector uses more of a flat strip for the - connection, the new green NL4FXX uses the round contact bar all around.
In the picture of the connectors the blue gray in on the left, the brown is on the right.

The outer shells on the FC connectors got thinned down a couple generations ago, the MP connectors outer shell got thinner on this latest version.
Seems like every new version is a little more lacking in some way.
