To add, believe it or not, I still have early-production USA-made spiral CFLs in the house working just fine, with thousands of hours on them. The later ones I bought lasted 2 years maximum.

Loose connections on mesa subway cabs

I still have them sitting in a bag (somewhere in this mess) waiting to be properly recycled. Someday I should ferret them out and check on that.
it's sad, this happens.
I have the green speakon combos on my cabs, I think, my best bet is avoid the FXX plugs.
however, my personal preference for the cab makers (or rewiring my cabs) would be replacing those combo jacks with speakon-only ones without additional 1/4" jacks. I don't need 1/4" on my cabs and I'd prefer my cabs not to have them at all. that's only my preference (others might share it or oppose it), but I wanted to say it loud.

I think the standard answer in the legal profession is "Everybody. Let the judge sort that out."
Here's another pic of an NL4FX. Note "speakON" vs "SPEAKON." That "SPEAKON" seems suggestive of possible fakery to me, though, again, far from conclusive. Personally, given how picky most companies are about branding, I think I'll try to steer clear of plugs marked "SPEAKON," pending authoritative further information. (Even if in some cases, the counterfeits *might* work fine.)
I have many Speakons with the name all spelled in upper case letters, the later ones not just limited to the more recent green and brown versions seem to be all using the lower upper case print. Some point in the FX series it seemed to change.

Something is definitely awry with these new connectors. They are not "playing nicely" with the originals. I suggest sticking with the 4 poles Which fit} until this is worked out. We already knew of the inconsistencies of the knockoff brands. LMK what you find and I will as well.
I own 4 of those exact ones. Actually got em from MF too. And for free after a screw up they made on a order and they refunded me what I spent on the cables to make up for it.I found these at Musician's Friend and ordered a pair to keep with my D-800+. there are still some cables out there that have the older blue Neutrik connectors.

Does Mesa offer advice as to the exact recommended cable? Part number and maybe approved trusted vendors?
Maybe it would be simpler if Mesa sold speaker cables that are proven to be correct for their amps and cabs.
Why have this confusion and problems with users reporting issues?
Do they? They sell mounting brackets as options why not cables?

Not yet, so far it appears that the issue is only with the brown 2 pole plugs.
Well I'm glad I have four, 3ft Kirlin cables (blue) and two 6ft Kirlin (blue). Hopefully Neutrik will address this issue cause at some point I'm sure I'll end up with some of the browns.
What about the green ones? Are those being phased out like the blue ones? Are we going to be stuck with just the brown ones in the near future?
It took a long time for my wallet to cool down after buying my Subway amps and speaker cabinets.
I propose that Mesa include a speaker cable with the purchase of each, and every Mesa Subway amplifier and speaker cabinet.
The green ones are the four conductor, brown is two conductor, greens I'm going to say are here to say till the next latest greatist comes out.
The main issue with the brown ones is when connecting to a combo connector on an amp or cabinet, not an issue with standard NL2 or NL4 MP connectors.
Everything was fine until that "approved trusted vendor" (Neutrik) went wonky with their newest update.
Get Neutrik connectors has always been in the Mesa Subway amp and cab manuals.

One vendor who still uses the original NL4FC plugs is Audiopile.
