Loose input jack on Mesa TT-800

So I've had my TT-800 for about 3-ish months and today I noticed that the input jack is exceptionally loose... like it's not screwed down or attached to anything. Here's a short video of what I mean: [This invalid link has been removed]

I don't want to dink around inside the amp for safety reasons, and I shouldn't have to since this is only a few months old. Is that a send off to a repair shop issue or a return to retailer problem? Maybe @agedhorse has some advice?

Thanks in advance.

If it's under warranty, check with the retailer first. They should be able to advise you on what to do.
Could be also that for something that simple, they might have you bring it to the store (assuming local) and just take care of it while you wait. Anywho...couldn't hurt to ask.

I have a very similar problem with my WD-800. The nut on the jack came loose. I'd love to tighten it down but I can't find a socket set with thin enough walls as the jack isn't flush with the front of the amp but rather inset.

Use a needle nose plier that's slim enough to fit the recess. Don't over-tighten though and watch out that you don't scratch the edge of the trim panel.

It's very rare with these jacks, maybe it didn't get fully tightened at the factory?

Be sure the black fiber washer is between the nut and the chassis.

The socket would have to be too thin wall to be 3D printed and also be strong enough.

Hate to revive an old thread but literally just got a new tt 800 and while testing it found the imput jack is really loose.(great tone though) I'm worried and wonder should the imput jack have any play or should I talk to the shop where I bought it. @agedhorse any thoughts ?

See your other thread. Some play is normal, excessive play is generally due to an undersize plug and not the jack itself. The jack will work reliably with undersized plugs because of the type of contact assembly.
