Loose straplock/screw

Hi,
Maybe someone can help me out with what seems like it could/should be an easy fix. I have dunlop dual design straplocks on my bass but the screw keeps coming loose after extended playing. Usually I take a screw driver and tighten it as best I can but eventually it loosens again.

Is there anything I can do to make this stop happening? Something I can maybe put on the screw to "glue" it in there? A longer screw?

I figure if anyone might be able to help out it would be in this forum.

Toothpick and Krazy glue or a longer, larger screw. Both work.

Glue+toothpick is the better bet. The screw heads for those are smaller than standard, so a regular screw might not work.

This might be a bit excessive for the situation, but that happened to me once. I drilled it out and doweled it - using a bit and wood that was smaller than the size of the straplock's bass.

just drill a hole along with the original screw hole, lather a dowel in glue and pop 'er in. re-drill for the lock, shape it out comfortably, and you're good to go.

Teflon tape on the screw is a very inexpensive way to deal with it too.

+1 to toothpicks. I use schallers and the screws are smaller than standard, so I had to toothpick everything except my acoustic.
