Lost my original account during upgrade?

Hi, I logged in as MLC_bassplayer post upgrade and commented in a thread. This morning the site says user does not exist but says my email address is in the system. I created another account just to let you know. No worries if things will get sorted out in time. Just wanted to let you know.
