Most drummers I've played with could do a cool slap bass lick. It's that hand and finger independence that seems to bring something unique.

Way back when I first started playing Chapman Stick the drummer in my band picked up my Stick, and within 30 seconds he was playing cooler stuff than I'd been able to accomplish in 6 months of practicing!
