I just saw this thread. Slobake, I know from past threads that you're a fellow believer.
The past 3 weeks my wife and I have been through it. Without pages of detail I was told I almost lost her. With the work of a team of doctors she is much better, at home, and will fully recover. Then there was the fact that she lost her job earlier this year and isn't insured. So we were looking at financial ruin. But that is actually working out fine also.
I feel the love of the One who is in charge. And this ordeal has reminded me of how much I love my wife.

For sure. My wife has been battling cancer for the past 2.5 years, and the oncologists' prognosis is one that nobody ever wants to hear.
Although we've always had a very strong and loving marriage (39 yrs so far), since her diagnosis our love has grown exponentially. That's what keeps us going, one day at a time.
