Love Songs that Aren't Corny?

Zappa once said “I detest love lyrics. I think one of the causes of bad mental health in the United States is that people have been raised on 'love lyrics'."

I disagree. What are some good love songs that aren't corny.

Not sure if everyone would agree this one isn't "corny," but I would advocate for it. It's vivid and sincere and surprisingly avoids cliche.

I think corniness is in the ear of the beholder...and possibly also situationally dependent. I can easily imagine reading the lyrics to this tune and thinking "Gack! What a pile of schmaltz!" but when I hear this performance I am genuinely touched by what sounds like honest, sincere, raw emotion:
