Daniel Fernandez basses are an amazing display of high quality wood working I've seen, AND it is the nicest bass I've ever played. Look at the detail of the wood working around the input jack!!!
Brian @ Lowend carries them and has a couple in stock. Even though I'm sure this style of bass isn't for everyone, I'm surprised they're still there.

they look alot like the set of spector strings I just took off a bass they are not MTD strings because they have a yellow silk wrapping
They do look really similar to the Spector strings. Too bad your bass isn't a 4 string, I'd send you a set for free.
Two Year Bump!!!!
After two years of trying many other strings (Spector, DR, B52, Dunlop); I decided I would put the these old strings back on the bass ...... and WOW!
The first thing I noticed was how low tension these string are, even compared to the DR high beans and sunbeams I used. That combined with the string-to-string consistency (now .. semi-dead) that made me really like playing this bass to my personal best! Sometimes you don't realize how different strings REALLY changes the feel and sound of your basses. (It's a crime that bass strings are 10 times guitar strings!!)
Next I'm trrying TI Jazz rounds and Labella Rock'n steels.

Those look exactly like the stock Warwick strings I just took off my new Warwick. Who makes Warwick's strings?
I stand by my suggestion of dean markley "super rounds", and if they're softer tension than a sunbeam they must be the LT set.

I´m from Buenos Aires , Argentina. I know Daniel strung actually his Instruments with Magma Strings (Argentina Made Strins) I don´t know if when you buy this bass he use this strings. I know the post it´s too old but if you dont´know the brand of the strings I ask to Daniel if that are the strings. (Sorry my inglish is very Bad)
