Low Down Sound Club, Part Four

Got my first LDS the other day, “Hell Hammer” as it was once known. it’s a 12/12/6.5/1 that was built mid-2015, then sold that same year & held onto by the second owner until now. Embarrassingly enough, I blew the tweeter the first day I received it so I was holding off on posting until it was repaired.
900W at 4 ohms, Eminence 3012LF, Faital mid, repaired the eminence 1001 tweeter with a PRV D280Ti which is stronger and flatter. I’m really digging this cabinet, I think my tube amps sound weird through it because I’ve never heard them overdriving at 20K before :roflmao:
It looks a lot bigger in pictures

Update: I played this out in the Joshua Tree desert area at a weekend festival. It kicked butt, as expected :bassist::hyper:

Going through a Crown XLS1002 & Broughton Silver Deluxe. The damn thing felt like it was massaging my back and legs with low end, I was probably a meter away. I have no doubts that it was able to carry sound for miles out there at night.

I just received 2 1x10 cabs from Don. These are the 3rd cabs I have had Don build for me.
His work is soooo good and his prices are incredible.
The cabs are built with 1/2" ply and drivers are Eminence 1030LF and a Faital 4" mid/tweeter and weight 26lbs each.
Great lows and the mids are really smooth. Very easy move as well.
Kudos to Don once again.
Would like to see one if possible. The only single 10" affordable cab I see around is the ELF.

Picked these up last week from Don, who lives near Seattle. They house my almost nos JBL K140's. Plugged my '67 Guild Starfire into my Acoustic 220 head, and...wow...crystal clear with lots of bottom. Truly the sound of the gods.
I don't think Don's too busy these days, so he'll likely whip up a cab or two in a short time if anyone's thinking about it. Seems like a good guy to support.

Can I get in - I have posted this cabinet before - but never got a number.

The badge came off and as soon as I get some more glue it will be back on.

LENNY! As it happens, I just picked up this cab from Guitar Center Kennesaw. If it's not this one, then it is a very curious coincidence. I owned an LDS 2x12 with 6" mid driver and tweeter not too long ago, but sold it due to it's size and the fact that I don't play out very often. This little guy is pretty much exactly what I was wanting, so thank you! I believe it is utilizing the Delta 12 speaker, so I'm looking at 400 watts and 8ohms, correct?

I noticed this pretty thing on Reverb a few days ago. Listed by Don, himself at what looks like a killer deal.

If someone lives in the Buckley, WA area it would be an even better deal. Unfortunately it's way too much in shipping to get it here to me in Georgia, and I already own both of Lenny's 1x12 cabs pictured above.

I snagged a few deals off his reverb now. Not sure who they were meant for or just to play around ,but they are sweet and an even better deal. Here’s my 6x8 mini fridge with a tweeter built by don when he was in Michigan still, one of my most loved, used and abused cabs.
And a small 2x5 cab the size of a rack mount amp in a case with a custom wooden stand-amp mount
And a new to me 6x5 cab with the same faital pros (puts my Phil jones six pack to shame, sorry..)

What are the 5" Faitals used?

Beautiful cabs. Glad to see the blue baffle still floating around.
