For all the LDS people out there, I am thinking about ordering a cab from Don Oadman, and i need to figure out what i should get. First of all I have one of his older 15 cabs that i picked up second hand, and being that i live in SE MI, i took it to him to have him check it out, and he said it was in excellent condition other than the speaker needed to be reconed. So I did and it sounds wonderfull, the only problem is that it is my only cab, and the thing ways around 90 lbs. Hauling it to practice is no easy chore on my back, and it is a tight squeeze in my Focus.
I was thinking about having him make me a 210, which would suit me for the short term, but thinking ahead should I keep the 15 with the 210 or get another 210 and have 2 of those? Or should I think of maybe 2 112's, for portability?
Right now i have at Trace Elliot 350 sm sitting on the 15, but i am thinking about getting the Shuttle 6.0 next summer. I play in a band that covers classic rock-alternative-blues, and i want to add some motown and funk, so i need versatility. We are a few months from playing out, and we will be playing small to medium bars. I can only buy one cab this fall (wife is on to my GAS) so i need to figure out which one to start with and add to the 15. Should I do the Neo route, or regular drivers? i can handle a little weight, but would like to keep it under 55 lbs. Any difference in tone between Neos and standard? Would I be better with 2 210's or 2 112's or just keep the 15 and add a 210? Thanks for reading my long winded post.
