Why howdy. I'm a total noob to bass, and barely know anything of this low end distortion, except it sounds cool. How do I achieve this sound? I heard it used in Acid Bath, and Shrum.

There are a zillion ways to distort bass, including amps that distort when you crank them up, pedals that add all different kinds of distortion, "accidental" distortion from overloading other signal processors, digital alterations, and fret buzz.
