Low end recovery pedals?

That's the idea. The mxr seems to be working for me - doing exactly what the thug does, but I'll keep that and the Tym in mind, should this strategy go sideways at some point.

Overdriving the whole spectrum of a guitar or bass signal generally sounds bloated, farty...like some sort of poo. Most overdrives boost mids, overdrive that modified signal, and then re-eq things somewhat after the overdrive. For guitar, restoring the lows isn't necessary, as...it's just a guitar, and it didn't start with any low end, so restoring it is an unnecesary waste of circuitry. For us, that's a problem, as it's generally our job to shake the place.

Other ideas:
- with a small blender run the is in one loop, eq in the other to simultaneously dial out high end/mids and boost lows

- isn't there's a Mantic pedal or something that's designed for bringing back lows? EDIT: Thug | Mantic Effects
