Been on the hunt for a used Broughton low pass high pass but these are hard to find. Seems like common sense but wouldn’t a boss bass eq or similar with those bands pulled completely out accomplish the same result? Seems to easy but maybe I’m wrong. Anyone?

This is what a filter does:

Nope, an EQ boosts/cuts the level of a set frequency.

The HP/LP filter filters out all frequencies below/above the set points.

It is readily available here:

Yea I meant an eq that had a band as low as say 60 and high as 5/8/10k- and I assumed shipping from Canada would be steep being I just had to back out of a trade deal when I got to the post office and got bitch slapped with cost to ship “to” Canada.

It's $180 shipped, that is a fair price for a very specialized, high quality piece of gear.

Just looked at it again and realized I need the side jacks for board real estate purposes. Looks like those are an old model or special order

there’s one for sale in the classifieds here right now but it’s the current top jacks version.
There was an older version with side jacks and slightly different print.
it might be worth posting a WTB thread if you need the older version, they do pop up from time to time.
I have the current version and it’s highly effective, I looked for something like this for a long time and couldn’t believe there wasn’t something on the market.
I was very excited when I found the Broughton offering.
Good luck in your search.

I’ve never done a WTB, where do I post that? I looked through the menus and didn’t see anything

I do understand notch and shelve, etc, guess I’m just brainstorming. Some eq pedals end with a shelf like the darkglass pedals but don’t call it a pass…

That's because it's not a filter. A shelving EQ lowers all frequencies above/below the set point evenly but does not filter them out and there's no slope.

Last time I ordered direct from Broughton the shipping was only $15. Last pedal I shipped within the USA was $9, so that's pretty fair.

Thanks that’s why I wanted feedback on options, but I’m set on the HPF/LPF, just need side jacks for the location I have left. I’ll figure it out.
