low tension flatwounds for six string bass?

There aren't many. You might try the La Bella LTFs (Low Tension Flats); I prefer the TIs to these, but use cases differ, so you might prefer them. If you want to light a handful of $20 bills on fire, you could try the Dogal Hellborg flats. The Dogal Jaco flats are also fairly light gauge, but also expensive. Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

The LTFs are my favorite strings, but they don’t make a matching high C. You have to get the high C from their normal flatwound set, and it’s brighter sounding than the LTFs…it’s been my go-to make shift set for a while now

Apparently there are two 6-string Dogal Jaco flat sets, one going .030 to .125 and the other going .035 to .130. Each over 130 euros, though. The Hellborg flat set is 226 euros. Eek.

Who makes a low tension set of flatwound strings for six string bass (other than TI, which I've never gotten fully on with)?
From a one-year-old post of mine:
The most promising (IMO) for your needs is the Dogal JC106B6030 Jaco System Ultraflat carbon steel:

read good things
("only" $199.99 at Strings by Mail...)

I've also Invalid Link Removed about the Magma Ultra Flats (a sort of stainless-steel extra-groundwounds).
the BE156SUF set (gauges 30-40-60-80-100-125) is in stock at their USA webstore (good value - a little over 60 bucks)
Magma Electric Bass Strings Light - Ultra Flat Strings - Long Scale 34
the lighter BE146SUF (28-40-60-75-95-120) is temporarily (?) sold out

The Optima 4099.CB

will also give less of a sticker shock than the Dogals, but may be further from the Thomastik-Infeld tone.

Same with the La Bella Olinto Signature Flats (OSF-6),

which may also be significantly tighter.

Check in with Jason at FretNation.com. He can get you set up, and he sells singles.
I really liked TI jazz flats on my Dingwall six string, and he put together a mixed length set of TI’s. I have also bought single C strings. ($13 for a TI C string)

You might end up with a C string from another set, but close enough to make it happen.

I know TI flats are either love em or not for many folks, what didn’t you like?

Not enough low end and always too bright (which I have heard goes away after many months)….but mostly not enough low end
