Lowe Custom Bass - Chromasonic

It's great to see this pop up again, and thanks for the kind words everybody! As a bit of history, that was one of two prototype Chromasonic bodies in ash:

Chromasonic - PROTOTYPE - SOLD | Facebook

The pickup rings and control plate are chrome-plated brass and were fabricated by Armadillo Guitar. The original neck was from Allparts, and the current neck is a Mighty Mite. It's one of about a dozen necks out there with an unmodified profile, a black face, and Lowe logo. They were originally sold as complete instruments along with Mighty Mite bodies and used Lollar, Fralin, or TV Jones pickups with my plug-and-play electronics.

I pulled down all pictures of those builds after I received a cease and desist letter from Fender. If I remember correctly, @DaveDeVille may have bought one of those Mighty Mite builds, swapped out the necks, and sold the remaining parts on. All of my current builds are custom-milled and finished in the USA.

It's a unique and pretty special instrument in a lot of different ways, and I briefly considered buying it back myself...
