And the headstock cap is glued to the neck blank…
Body blank day came. Cliff roughed out the body, said it was crazy light. Looking at possibly 6 pounds total weight for the final build!

Looks like it's fretboard day at the bordwell shop!
Got the body shape outlined on the top today. Reenforces my choice for a Dola. I love how the burl lays out on this hybrid top!
Love that top! Its gonna look so good when there is a finish on it. Gloss or Satin?
Cliff only does hand rubbed oil finishes. So it will be that.
Flame maple neck, birdseye maple board, luminlay blue dots, accent veneer.
That line looks perfectly centered to the side dots! this is gonna be dope!

Fingerboard is then sanded straight, radius on the edge of the fingerboard is started, fret slot edges are chamfered and fret slot depths are finished to match the fingerboard radius.
