I am thinking about buying a 5 string bass. It will be my third bass, but it will be my first 5 string. I was at the music store earlier today trying out basses. The first thing the salesman recommended was an LTD. I tried a couple LTDs and some other 5 strings, even an Ernie Ball (out of my price range)! Obviously, going from a 4 string to a 5 string felt very weird. I eventually got used to it though. I tried an LTD B-5E, and as soon as I played my first note it sounded great. It felt amazing, and I could compare it to the Ernie Ball. I tried a couple more, and compared to the B-5E, they sounded weak. It was great for palm muting too! I am quite convinced on buying it, but I think I still need to make sure it's a good bass by hearing opinions. If anybody has any recommendations on whether or not I should buy this bass, please tell me! Also, if someone can recommend any other good 5 strings, please tell me!Thanks!
