I'm going to purchase the Matt Freeman Precision Bass from Squier or the LTD Vintage-204.. Which one should I buy? I play in a punk band.

I'd say that a proper punk ethos would demand that you get whatever you want, and not care about what other people think.
That being said, the 2 basses you listed are different animals. One is a straight P, the other a P/J. The neck finishes and back contours are different. You can get the -204 with a rosewood board in black and burst, or a maple board in black. The Freeman is only available with a maple/maple neck in black or vintage white.
A lot of the choices depend on your personal preferences, none of which you mentioned.
I just got a Vintage 204. Barring the factory defect out of the box, the sound, hardware, and quality blows away any of the Classic Vibes and Vintage Modified Squier I have owned or played. It is fantastic. Now I just have to wait for the replacement lol.
