Lunchtime jam at work - anyone else doing it?

Since starting playing again, and since getting my ABG, I've set up a weekly lunchtime jam at my work.
Got a couple of really good acoustic guitarists (and you won't often hear me use "good" and "guitarist" in the same sentance) playing blues, Doc Watson tunes, and just generally good fun material.
Definitely stretches my ability to follow when they bust out the capos
Just finished this week's session.
Big fun, makes the work week a bit brighter.

Anyone else manage to bring some music into the workplace?

No jamming but my bass comes to work with me every day. I just bought (haven't got it yet) a crappy P copy to leave there so I don't have to cart one of the real ones around.

It's just me and Mr. Metronome. Working alone is a good thing.

I've done it in a couple of my old jobs.

In one case it was run by an amazing jazz guitarist. I would have learnt a lot more about jazz playing if I hadn't changed jobs shortly after it started up.

In the second case it was a group generally lacking talent, but a lot of fun anyway. Either people just learning to play, people who hadn't played in years trying to get back into it, and people who didn't really play at all but were hanging out and making noise. I that case I ended up kind of leading.

In both cases the group quickly dropped down from half the company looking in to see what was happening to four or so people who actually wanted to put the effort in. It was definatly fun, and worthwhile - especially as we could store gear safely, and had access to a nice space without having to pay, or travel. It was little effort for definate rewards...

It's something I'd like to be able to do, even at Uni, to have some little improvisational jams would be cool!
