I was visiting Lisa Gass yesterday, watching Gabriel work on a bass and it occurred to me that some of us might find a hands-on workshop on the care and feeding of our boat anchors useful. What do you think? 6 to 8 of us on a couple of hours one Saturday? We'd have to make it worth their time of course.

It's not up to me, but I'd recommend that Lisa let the participants set the agenda, she'll have to set the fee. Off-hand, I'd say, get a list of questions from the participants plus a few topics that Lisa thinks are important for bassists based on her experience. Some possibilities:
- installing strings
- bridge care
- tuner gear care
- end-pins
- seam repair

I was just out at Seth's place in Eugene a few weeks ago and we were trying to brainstorm a bit on how to get a bassfestwest going out there.

95% of the time I see interesting workshops and events that I'd like to attend, but the organizers seem to go out of their way to locate them in some of the most lame a$$, white bread with the crust cut off, boring places in the country that I would never go to. For many of us, the time away has to offer more than just the nerdfest time locked up in the classroom.

Good luck with Lisa; 'sounds fun

Too bad no one had the idea to set one up in Prague just before of after the Bass2016 event. Praha is beautiful and cheap, although flying there from the States with a couple of basses?
