M-80 Trouble

I have had a MXR m-80 for about 6 month now and love the pedal. However yesterday when playing throught it, as i always do, i started to get this horrible buzzing/feedback sound in the background. Well i lie, it's not even background feedback, it's very loud and has random attacks of more feedback :hmm: and not forgetting this pedal is silent normally and lets nothing through it.

However i can't get into the pedal either as it has those special allen key type nuts in there so am unable to get into it. I too don't have the receipt either so am unable to take it back. Has anyone else experienced this and what do i have to do to solve the problem?

Thanks all,

Running on a power bank which also isn't being overloaded. I'll go buy a set of them when i get the chance this week and check it out. I've found the recipe for it though, so if i find no obvious problem i'll take it back.
