M9 Carbine Club anyone?

After reading the rave reviews on the M6 here and trying one out at Guitard Center the other day, I pulled the trigger on the "Head" version of an M9 today (gets here Tuesday!) I can hardly wait to hear it through a pair of Low B-2's. The definition I heard through the Powerhouse 2x12 and 2x10 the M6 was hooked up to made me weak in the knees. The thought of the sound run through a pair of Acme's will keep me awake at night until then!

If you have the M9, what cabs are you running through and what do you think?

Many years ago when I was touring I used a couple of 4ohm Road Ready single 15 cabs with an Acoustic 370 head - great for the large gigs we were doing. Now I use a couple single 12 custom cabs with an Epifani UL-502...as I just do club work. I often miss the pant legs a flappin' from a rig like that. EXCELLENT - I envy you

This is the best amp I ever bought. I love this thing. Works well will any cab combo I have tried but my top two setups are with my Powerhouse412, or my pair of Powerhouse115's just like Horny Toad! I love how the M9 fits in a shallow depth rack and is only about 25 pounds. Quite potable for a monster of an amp!

I'm about to pull the trigger on the carbine. Har Har. Is this an audience or an oil painting? Does the M9 come with the footswitch? BTW how do you like the gator? Tell me a little about the 412, as there's none locally to try so I'd have to order it.

I push an Epi 310 with my M9. I used it with the 310 and a 210 but until I play outdoors again that'll be unnecessary. I put the 310 up on a stand. Soon I'll try the M9 with an LDS 15/6. My hope is that setup will pretty much be all I'll ever need-should have it in a few weeks. Like I've posted before, playing through an M9 is like having my own private dragon:bassist:

I was flipping through the 2010 Mesa catalog the other day and realized that the M9 has no DI level control where as the M6 does. I was a little bummed as this could be very useful.

Later I actually looked at the back of my M9 and discovered there is indeed a DI level control on the back. This clearly not pictured in the 2010 catalog photo of the back panel so Mesa must have done a slight upgrade to the newest version. Very cool!

Just came last night. Didn't have a chance to hook it up until this evening and had only about 20 minutes until the wife got home. She heard it easily from the driveway. First impression is the same I had from the M6 at Guitard Center .... WOW. Lots of stuff rattling in the room. I won't have a chance to give it a full workout until this weekend but I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed. Here's a couple crummy pics ....

Sounds like the word is getting out and there is a bit of a wait time to get a Carbine these days. I'm glad I scooped mine when I did. For anyone on the fence, this amp is really taking things to a new level. Forget all the features and crazy power, this amp sounds absolutely incredible dead flat. Mesa has a home run without question in my opinion.

Just curious for those that have either compared or own both the M6 and the M9. Set dead flat do they both sound the same? I know the extra bucks get you a decent compressor and the graphic EQ and of course the extra headroom. But tonally are they cut from the same cloth?
