Stagefright by Chic is recorded with a MM. You have to listen for figer grit...other wise its a P. Uses a mockingbird on stage. Former Miles Davis bassist Felton Crews owned a mockingbird..also cause of Bernard.

Im adicte to this live dvd...its a bigger influence to me...and jerome preston....this guy its a funk machine! please check "lets get it on" jerome sings so funky!

For those who guessed that it was a B.C.Rich Wave Bass-1980 model you were right.
I don't have it any more, it got destroyed on a gig w/ Maceo when a road crew member pulled a light cable the was under my amp and knocked over the bass which broke the neckin an A-shape under the headstock.
But I do appreciate all the love you guys have for grooves. I just found out about TalkBass and signed on as a member. peace and love to us all!!!

Someone had asked ealier on, Where was the "My First Name is Maceo DVD" shot on location and the name of the venue. It was shot in Hamburg, Germany at The "Fabrik" in 1994.
Jerry was using a1980 B.C.Rich, Wave, 4-string Bass. And the strings are D'Addarios. Medium light gauge, 40-G, 60-D, 80-A and 95-E.
