I thought it was some pretty solid slappage myself ... for a young or older player. Clean tone, and nice double pop's. Thanks for posting it. Peace

As most slap jams/improvs out there, it's more or less nonsense musically and therefore pretty boring to listen to, IMO. But at least this has a hint of a groove. The playing is pretty darn tight and technically competent. I only wish there was some music in there, you know? But there are many well-known slap monsters who can't please me either. Vail Johnson, Mark King and the like just leave me cold. So... I guess you're in good company. ;-)

I especially liked the one titled "The Funk?". The groove that comes in at about 50 seconds into the track _is_ the funk.

You've got some killer grooves man. The little 12th fret double pop/slide thing you were rolling in the end was hot.

I personally thought it was off the hook. For all you cats that thought it was boring, ya'll must be on a whole other level. From beginning to end I thought it was good.

I find this piece boring because of a lack of dynamics, changes in key, melodic counterpoints, structure, rhythmic variation, etc. IF he was to play what he played for 14 seconds, it would be a interesting concept, at three minutes, something should happen other than a wall of notes.
