They're in Carlsbad, which isn't too bad of a drive from Fullerton. I can't vouch for their shop, but I've been wanting to hit them up for a while. If by chance you do go see them, let us know what you think.

Arroyo Hardwoods generally has a supply of instrument sized mahogany in stock.

I always recommend The Answer for people in southern california though. They seem to have the best prices on hardwoods in the area. They don't have a huge selection of exotic woods, but what they do carry, they always have lot of. This is one of the suppliers of wood for businesses like Rockler (or so I've been told), so you save a bit of money by going straight to the source, rather than using a middleman.
