Abbey Road by the Beatles (the White Album, Sgt Pepper and all the others aren't bad, either).

The remasterings came out last week. Stereo for the early albums, and I've heard that Abbey Road sounds a lot better. Considering its was already beyond amazing...

I thought the OP was asking for relatively recent, or at least less-well-known music.

To that end, I suggest The Drive-By Truckers' Brighter Than Creation's Dark. I never thought I'd like a band that, on the surface, could be described as "Southern rock". But these guys are great songwriters with a lot to say, and they rock.
