Making A Black P Bass Look More Interesting

Here are a few different looks.....

Get dial-style (Strat) knobs w/the numbers, (ditch the chrome, which is on like every Squier I've ever seen), pearloid pickguard (black, red, or green would all look awesome), pickup/bridge covers, and a thumb rest. That's what I plan to do with mine someday...I'm content with the off-white that the WBW pickguard has turned though currently, which gives it a very nice vintage patina. I'm also a big fan of my strat-style knobs, which adds to the vintage vibe I think for some reason.

As for tort guards, I already have a black/tort bass. I like that combo, though.

I also like the bridge and pup covers, but I mainly play with a pick. So pup covers won't be a good option.

I think the mint guard would look nice, though.
