Anything like ‘landing strip’? Sounds like a great band name. This incident recalls the cover of “London Calling”.

I grew up in Ohio and spent a lot of time around Akron. Even went to school there for awhile. Never heard the term "devil's strip". Everyone I know all over the state, including many in and around Akron, calls it a "treelawn", i.e., the strip of grass between the sidewalk and the street. But then again, I'm not in the business of getting people to buy newspapers.
Ain't clicking on that. No sir, ain't clickin' it.
The question is, which one was the bassist?
