Man drought!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/7589382.stm

Sweet. I'm going.

They don't have hurricanes in Austrailia, do they?

Hurricanes occasionally hit the very top of Australia, but they don't do much. Just lots of rain and wind. We call hurricanes 'cyclones' though.

::Australian accent:: The Dingo ate my Baby! Gimme a Fosters Mate.
perfect

I'm down. lets do this.

HAHA! :D You'll fit right in Croox. :bassist:

And yeah nobody drinks Fosters, that stuff is piss. :p

hmm. An Asian chick with an Australian accent could be nice.

One of my ex-g/fs was Japanese, but she had been living here for 15 years and spend her formative Australian years learning English in a small country town. The resultant accent was not particularly pleasant, and visiting Japanese relatives always looked horrified when she started speaking her native langugage with them; they could barely understand her once the 'strine' kicked in. :D

As for the article, it fails to mention that many Australian women are unhealthily overweight, uncultured or overly-materialistic - IMHO.

Everything I need to know I learned from the Crocodile Dundee movies. they taught me enough about Australian Stereotypes.
I wouldn't drink it, it would be for the ladies that I'd be swooning I'd have my family send me real beer to drink
and if enough of us go, we'll just rename it "Talkbass Island"

I'm on the whole "as long as they aren't fat" bandwagon, I'm pretty good with ugly chicks.

Hah, this story hits the news every so often, and it's always bought forward by a group of overweight, beauty-challenged women with crossed-eyes, bad teeth, hunchbacks and a hairy back. Have you got a picture in your head. Now try and take that beast seriously when she's aggressively telling a reporter in a half-yell "All the good men are taken and there's no single men around". They're around alright! There's no man drought, but this story is always good for a laugh...........

Those are the ones. We need to stamp these lovelies 'For export only', then direct them and our fellow American TBers to rsvp.com.au...

No, that's just Adelaide chicks. :D

I guess you've spent all your money on rent in Sydney, and have nothing left to use for a supporting membership? :D

One ex-g/f of mine left Adelaide for Sydney at 15 and came back 7 years later with a child, an extra 20kgs and a nose-damaging cocaine habit. The big smoke can be mighty harsh on the gentle and warm farmer's daughters we raise here. :)

to get rid of these imperfections is why beer was created. Alcohol poisoning is natures way of saying "shes WAY to ugly for that!"

Yeah Yeah here we go again. So here's my standard answer once more:

The thing about big(ish) cities is that if you go looking for trouble, you'll most likely find it ;)

That's why I've never visted Sydney. I've got myself in enough trouble here in little ole' Adelaide.

But enough inter-city bashing and back on OT ... I know of two guys who are both:
- in their 30s
- 'good' (no addictions or significant emotional problems, reliable, honest, steady jobs, healthy, wide range of interests)
- at least averagely attractive
... who cannot seem to find a decent woman. From my point of view in fact there is a 'woman drought'!

Maybe everyone who complains, man or woman, is just too darn picky...:D
