It should be on its way by now. I'll post findings and probably measurements.

Mr. Sidecar,
The MI-100's had a set of 5, very large filter capacitors mounted to the underside of the board. Others, will be able to tell you more about these.

Ric,

what they probably will tell me, at least some will, that these shall be changed for new ones soon, due to the limited lifetime of capacitors, especially electrolytics. We'll see if they have been changed in the past... Or do you have something else in mind folks want to tell me about them?

I know some believe that they can improve their amps by recapping them. This is something that Walter is adamant about however... If the amp is working properly, don't replace the capacitors. Not only were the values chosen for a reason, but the exact components were also chosen for a reason. I tend to agree. If it works, don't fix it.

+1 Walter doesn't recommend re-capping an amplifier just because it's reached a certain age. My guess is that he used "computer grade" filter caps in the build of the amplifier to reduce noise. But Bob and other's know more about the technical side
of things than I do.
