Maple Lado Hawk Bolt On?

Awesome. I want more people to tell me that I need to give my head a shake for even hesitating.
Maple body, high mass bridge...it's going to have to come down to not liking playing it to not pull the trigger.
Anyone ever play one of these? I can't say I ever saw one like this. Seen loads of neck throughs and played some incredible electric guitars...but no bolt on basses.
The Lado Strats I played were some of the finest guitars I ever played.
I wi9nder what this would have cost when it was released.

Yeah, I think it' s a good deal. They make good basses. I might go to school there.

Where you from Newbold? Did you go to school there?
I think it would take me about an hour, 15 minutes to get there everyday to where I live. I hope I go for sure.

The thing with using your hands is taking everything seriously and being the best that you can be. if you have to live like a monk, do it. Best through necks. period. Being so exacting to detail will get you wherever you need to be.
Is it a solidbody course or will you be making acoustic instruments as well?
If it's purely solidbody, you have a real opportunity to make some great instruments very quickly.
If it's acoustic, then maybe you should start making things now.

I would love to go to school there. Since I'm in the Kawarthas, it'd be no prob getting there. Good ol' P-Dot.
Also, so as not to completely de-rail. I think that's probably a great deal. I can't see Lado making a bass that is worth less than two or three times that much (quality-wise I mean). I'd pull the trigger.

I think you have the choice of whatever you wanna learn to create. I would for sure choose the solid body bass.
