Marco Basses

I'm looking to buy a 5 string and have found the Marco JTFL 5 String Blackburst.

Does anyone have a Marco JTFL? If so, how do you like the feel and the way it plays?

I'm looking for some real world users and experience from some of you guys

I have a Marco 5 JJ TFL, i had Marco build it for me, its fantastic Bass. One thing that sets it apart from others is the 34.5" inch scale (standard on all of his 5 string TFL) give you a tremendous and right low B, likely the tightest ive played and ive been through many 5'ers. The added scale length means you will have to stretch a little more but its not unfamiliar like a 35" scale is. My TFL is light, just under 8 lbs, this is a big one for comfort. I chose to have the Bass passive, Marco's pick ups are the best passive pick ups i have heard, i always have a TFL PJ 4 and it too sounds amazing.

Great Basses, not as well known as they should be so buy one while they are still affordable.

Hey Aaron! I'm Marco's new Artist Rep, looks like this thread is fairly old at this point but please do reach out if you have any questions!

I was an endorsed artist for two years before actually working for him, and for me, the feel of his necks are a familiar yet modernized take on the J-style. As someone else mentioned above, the 34.5" scale is almost unnoticeable but tightens up the action quite a bit. He also hand frets and glues each fret into the groove, so the action stays very low.

Tone wise his passive pickups are super hot with tons of punch, these are similar single coils to the ones he has on his TFL 5s:
