Marcus Miller 4 string

I am looking to purchase a new or used Marcus Miller 4 stirng bass. Anyone have a quality one for sale or know of a place to get one from?
Or do you know of a better bass for around $ 900.00

In the price range, I would also recommend checking out a Geddy Lee, if you love the Jazz bass without all the bells and whistles of the Miller, while keeping the vintage vibe.

I love my Miller and wouldn't trade it for anything, however, shop used, you can find a better price. They recently raised the prices on them too.

if you live near a GC they should have the Marcus and geddy in stock to try out...

also see if they still have a hwy 1 jazz or P bass...those are american made...I almost bout the P bass but decided against it because i need a fretless before i get another P bass...

Are you just looking into fender? if you lie your K5 you might be able to find a used prestege Ibanez for cheap if you keep your eyes out...

I went through a LOT of Millers to get the one I had the Sadowsky shop customize for me....I HIGHLY suggest that you add a Lakland DJ4 to your list and compare the 2. The DJ can be had used (if you can find one!!) for about your price and you can get a brand new for just a couple hundred more! The quality of the Lakland is outstanding and the attention to detail is MUCH better than on the Marcus (IME!!) The overall sound is also better to my ear than the stock Marcus out of the box...Remember I said that it took me a LOT of Marcus's to get the one I wound up buying!!

I also suggest giving Jong Lee a call at Jive Sound to see about getting one! You can also try Bass Central, Bass Emporium, and GuitarX to see what they have in stock or may be getting in. It is about time for another run of DJ's to become available just in time for the Holidays!! Good Luck!
