Marcus Miller Japanese Fender Jazz

Anyone play this? I played it the other day and Loved it! Just wondering if there is something I should look out for?

from the 3 ive played i thought they were great... MIJ fenders are the best in terms of Value/build... still havent played a 08 american thou

No, I don't know.... I like the MiJs and MiMs for the most part, as with any bass, some are good some are bad. You just got unlucky.

MIJ/CIJ Fenders are just as good as, sometimes better than, the American Fenders. I loved my Marcus Miller 4, had to sell it for financial reasons though...

i wanted a miller but just dont like white blocks so i settled for a 75ri instead..
then proceeded to mod it.. best bass ive played so far..

I bought a Marcus Miller Jazz bass about 4 months ago and I love it! It plays great, and sounds great. For the way I play anyway.

If you get one, before doing any other mod you definitely need to take the time to upgrade the shielding. I did a combo of the Stew Mac paint and copper foil tape. It made a world of difference.

I could have written this same post myself. Except my financial reason was that I wanted to buy a Warwick.

People easily mistaken my '75 RI for a Marcus. I like correcting them. They couldn't care less though.

But mine sounds 10x better than a Marcus. Nordstrand NJ4SV's and a J-Retro Preamp.
Not to mention I just slapped my BAII on there!

Having owned some of expensive gear in my life, I have to saw the dozen or so MIM Fender's I've owned have not been garbage at all.

I just got an 08 american jazz....... i am speechless. Much better than the Japanese marcus sigs that i have played. The american five string marcus sig is awesome though.
