Marcus Miller Jazz Clone?

What do you all think of this idea? I really want a Fender Marcus Miller custom, but do not have the funds. I'm thinking of piecing together the following parts. Is this a good idea? How close will I get to his sound? From a cost standpoint, does it make sense?
Here is the recipe:

SX SJB-75 B NA Jazz Clone Bass ($175)
DiMarzio Ultra Jazz PUs ($75 used)
Wilkenson Tuners ($25 used)
Badass Bridge ($40 used)

Is there anything I'm not considering here? A little over $300 for a sweet bass?

If you haven't played one than i would recommend trying one out first if possible. I had a precision for a day and did not like the neck whatsoever. Very clubby feeling. Also heard the same mentioned about the SX Jazz basses. The bass looked well built for what it cost and I liked the sound. Also have to second the preamp comments.

Also you might want to look at the Squier Vintage Jazz
