Mark Bass 122 vs Hartke 4X10 VX

As far as moving air though the Markbass speakers typically have a higher excursion and although the volume difference is not too great when you halve the wattage, the difference in headroom may be noticeable in the tone.
This, of course, only matters if you can get your setup to stop clipping. Was it the GK that was clipping or the speakers distorting?

I've played at festivals with an 850w amp and Eden 410xlt and had similar problems. Sometimes I wonder about the power supply at some outdoor gigs.
