MARK BASS CMD102P QUESTION

I have the Mini CMD121P and when I need to move a little more air, I use a Dr. Bass 1x15 under it---works great. I believe you're correct--with the extension cab you're getting the full 500w, and without, it's probably realistically around 350w or something like that.
Still I'm amazed how rarely I need that extra cab!

Yes, add another 8ohm cab (1x15 or 4x10, whatever) and the output is 500W - it's only 300W on its own.

I use the same amp and there's more than enough volume for all but the biggest gigs on its own, but I do add a 1x15 when I want more oomph.

Y'all must be really loud! :eek:

300w @ 8 ohms to be exact.

I would try standing it on end and tilting it back before I bought another cab just yet, though. Standing it on end gets a much better dispersion without losing the upper mids and highs to beaming, and tilting it back gets it aimed closer to your head, which really helps, not only to hear it better, but to hear a more representative sound of what it's really putting out.
