Does anyone have any experience with the pretty new MB Evo1 500 watt 2 channel head?
For the purpose of doubling, upright and BG, it looks interesting.

Well,
Just looking at the features, it looks to be more applicable to EB than DB, since
there's no phantom power or Mic input on either of the channels. There's also
no Notch or Hi Pass Filters which are pretty essential for DB tone shaping. Just my take.
Thanks Ric
Researching “doubling” options.
I’m currently using the headway edb2 into the GK micro combo. I need more power. I know there’s the doubler from EA but at 895 it’s a stretch, and then there’s the cab.

Have you looked into the IA gear? I recently got a Clarus head from the folks at Gollihur (who are super great people to work with). It has been great for doubling. Based on your comments of $895 being a stretch you might consider picking up some of the used AI gear. Plenty of clean power. I think the SL2 is about $750.

I hear you getting a affordable two channel amp, with the right feature set is a real challenge. Mark bass had the perfect solution, but they stoped ptoduction on the two channel version of the FI. There have been several original EA Doublers in the classifides for around $500.00. I think you’ll be hard pressed to get your hands on a used Clarius SL2 for a while because their so new. Keep watching the Skies.
