My Walnut, Maple & Ebony Singlecut SM2 SCe (Single Cut Extended) 6 string is nearing completion. Upper horn terminates at the 12th fret moving the balance of the bass rearward (towards the bridge) for neck high balance on me while playing standing.

In process and how it started photos are below. Mark reports rough sanding is complete. Finish sanding and perhaps the oil finish applied by the weekend.

Mark makes AMAZING basses. Looking forward to receiving my bass from the UK soon.

Finally arrived! Plays beautifully. Balance is superb. Tone/Sound is exactly what I wanted.

And a photo with Mark himself!

Craftsmanship is exceptional. Likewise the woods chosen for the bass are WOW!

Unlike most single cuts, the wedgie thing (neck heel) that Mark left on the bottom of the neck is perfection. It really feels
like I'm playing on a standard bass not a single cut bass - unlike some of the other single cuts I own.

Mark was a peach to deal with too. He truly is a master of his craft.

Tariff was ~$150 to get it to me. Received 2 days after it left the UK.

No drama, nothing but 50 shades of wonderful.

FWIW, when I received the photo of Mark with the bass, I was a bit apprehensive. In wanting the longer upper horn, I wanted the bass to point higher. Fear not, the bass definitely points higher on me than what is shown in the pic with Mark. It also stays there while I'm playing. Whew!
