My friend tells me the two 8 Ohm cabs coming from the amp increase the load on the amp by reducing the Ohm rating to 4. He says further that when the third cab is added....not direct into the amp, but daisy chained from the extension cab....it has a multiplying effect on the Ohm rating and thereby does not further increase the load on the amp. His analogy was, "The third speaker connection is like daisy chaining PA monitors together, it doesn't increase the load on the amp".
I'm not certain about the math to get to the Ohm rating for my full setup, but according to this tech, the rating does not fall below the maximum 4 Ohm load in the setup I use as described. He has assured me my amp is not in danger of overloading.
If someone knows something different, or knows the calculation to get the the load rating, I'd appreciate hearing from you.
