Hey there fellas. I'm looking at purchasing a markbass 15" cab. I'm inbetween the cmd 151p( 899 on sale) and the jeff berlin model( 875 b stock return) is there a significant difference between them besides the piezo? Has anyone A/B them. I am set on one of those 2 just trying to figure which to go with. Just need a stand alone combo. I am also looking at purchasing my buddy's mb 102hf cabinet in the future to pair up with the 15 combo. Just would like ur input as far as which 15 inch combo. Thanks!
I forgot to mention that it would be " better" to add another 15 down the road but I am very curious on how that combination will sound as it will be available to me. 115 combo with 102hf cab
Thanks for responding...so pretty much same thing and no piezo...I will probably just go for the new one
Well, do you appreciate some sparkle in your tone or do you prefer a darker sound? Personally, I'd get the 151P. It makes the amp more flexible for different sounds. Otherwise, pretty much the same rig. I also prefer the controls on top on a combo amp that I have to look down on.
I do like a bit of sparkle...I guess that's kind of a deciding factor...same amp,same spkr, just w a piezo
Not to confuse you but Markbass is introducing a new version of that amp, so the current models will likely go on SALE to clear them out, or you may prefer the newer model but you'll pay all the money for it.
[QUOTE="SJan3, post: 25442064, Yea it's on sale right now. I was able to get the jeff b model down to 775 but for 899 a new one and with a little sparkle probably going for that one. cab size is a bit different and don't know if it makes a huge difference on how low it goes.
