Markbass head won't work with certain high end loudspeaker

If you wish to run without a tweeter, your tech should remove the crossover entirely and not leave it connected to the LF drive lines (as it appears to be)
Is it a 210T, XLT, or XST? Each is a very different cab inside.
How do you have your L-pad set? if you turn it all the way down it can burn it up. Check it. Always have the Tweeter a little on to prevent this.
If you do not want the tweeter pull out the bulb.

He has frequently mentioned that some x-overs may be acting like a resonant tank circuit, which some Class D heads are not designed to deal with.

Examples of why talkbass is a great source of info...always learning on here (despite being old dog) i have always been a tweeter off guy by would just dial Lpad down...wont do so again/will pull bulb

On speakers built with properly designed L-Pads and crossovers, this is not a problem. In fact some of us actually model the various faults and what they may do to other components in the system.

There are some speakers that have been designed without thinking about the bigger picture... ie. we have this feature but you can't use it's full range without damaging something, or in the event of a failure of say a tweeter, some typed of power amps connected to the speaker might enter protect mode (hopefully) or blow up.

This is the difference between an engineered product and a product that's ok until it's not. (IMO) If the industry spent more time on the engineering and less time on the marketing, pretty pictures of sexy women holding basses they couldn't possibly play, and trying to be the cheapest product on the market, the misic community would probably be better off in the long run.

I had a similar problem with an LMII into a Genz Neox 212t. The head ran great with every other 4 ohm load I tried it with. I found that if I ran the master volume full, employed a limiter and used the gain as a volume control then the amp was sound. The Neox checked out as 4 ohm. I was never quite sure why this combination of head and cab wasn't 100%.
 
I'm not sure why not either. The net impedance curve for NeoX cabinets are well within industry norms and has been tested extensively with many heads. I know several players with exactly your setup playing without problems.

Where are you located? Are you operating your LM2 at 120 or 240 volts?

It ran at 240v. Other heads ran with the cab no problems including a streamliner. Very strange. I don't have the cab anymore as I prefer sealed these days.
 
So I took a closer look and if I'm not mistaken, shouldn't there be a wire connecting the two speakers directly to each other if it was wired in series? This looks a little funny to me

They are wired in series(the part with the black shrink-tube).
I also see that the tweeter crossover is still connected, just cut the red or black wire running to the crossover(1e image)
